Zappi modes

  • Fast mode — charges from grid at full rated output. Use when you need range fast.
  • ECO mode — charges from solar first, tops up from grid if solar drops below charge rate. Best for everyday solar households.
  • ECO+ mode — solar-only. Pauses if solar drops below 1.4kW. Maximum solar savings.

Will Zappi work with my existing solar system?
Yes — Zappi works with any solar inverter via a CT clamp around the consumer unit incomer. We fit the CT during install.
Zappi vs Wallbox Pulsar Plus?
Both are excellent. Zappi has stronger solar-divert intelligence and a slightly more refined app. Wallbox is cheaper and has a sleeker design. For solar households we recommend Zappi; for grid-only households Wallbox is fine.
Does Zappi work with Octopus Intelligent Go?
Yes — natively. Intelligent Go schedules your charge during cheap overnight windows; Zappi top-ups with solar during the day. The combination is the lowest-cost EV charging in the UK in 2026.
