2. What data we collect

• Enquiry data: name, email, phone, postcode, property type, electricity spend bracket, free-text notes — all collected only when you submit our enquiry or quote forms.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited — collected by our hosting provider's standard server logs.
• Analytics data: only if you consent to non-essential cookies; if you decline, no analytics is collected.

3. How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry (lawful basis: contract / pre-contract steps under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b))
• To run our solar survey, design, quote and installation services if you become a customer (lawful basis: contract)
• To comply with our legal obligations including tax, building compliance and DNO registration (lawful basis: legal obligation)

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with: (a) form-processing provider Formspree; (b) HMRC and Companies House as required by law; (c) your local DNO for any G98 / G99 / G100 application we submit on your behalf; (d) any finance broker or PPA funder you specifically authorise us to contact. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third-party marketers.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiry data that does not convert to a customer: 12 months from last contact
• Customer data: 7 years after end of last project (required for warranty and tax)
• Analytics data: 26 months from collection

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, port or object to the processing of your personal data. Email admin@kmmenergysolutions.co.uk with your request — we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

7. Cookies

This website uses only strictly-necessary cookies by default. We do not load any analytics or marketing scripts unless you have actively consented through our cookie banner.
