Frustrated with limited product offerings and poor customer service, they founded KMM to provide better solutions, improved products, and a customer-first approach. Steve Moran

Head Surveyor

As one of the co-founders, Steve Moran is a seasoned professional with over two decades of expertise, starting his career in Australia’s mining industry, where he spent 17 years excelling in resource operations. Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast Australia, his love for the natural world inspired a career shift in 2015 toward the renewable energy sector.

Steve started helping customers transition to renewable energy in Australia and then in 2017, he relocated to the UK, where he continues to champion sustainable energy solutions, helping communities and businesses alike move to greener alternatives.

He has a portfolio of over 900 successful solar-based installation projects across both Australia and the United Kingdom.

Steve’s vast experience has positioned him as a trusted leader in the renewable energy field.

Kieren Myler

Surveyor

One of the co-founders, Kieren was born off the grid with no mains water, sewerage or electricity so has been around renewables for 35 years. His mother, a passionate horticulturalist, built her own rainforest on a 10-acre plot near Byron Bay, Australia.

After this upbringing and then working in forestry in Australia, Kieren realised his passion for the wilderness and renewables became the clear way to futureproofing the planet for the next generation and this is where he decided to start building his legacy.

Joining the solar industry in 2017 alongside Steve, he has overseen over 700 installations of homes and businesses and has endless 5-star reviews from his clients reflecting his passion and service.

Together, Kieren and Steve set up this company to better the industry, bring expertise, fun and clarity to the pre and post-install process and train other businesses in the sector on the right practices and processes to achieve customer satisfaction in the sector across the UK. Join them as they embark on leaving a legacy for their families and generations to follow.

Fun Fact: Kieren won $4500 in NRL Supercoach Fantasy Sports leagues last year.

Jeff KentKMM delivered on everything.
From the first meeting with Kieren you could feel his passion for solar. He explained everything perfectly and talked us through the whole process simply but with detail. The survey was extensive and covered exactly what could be done. We were sold on the idea of solar from that very first meeting and were happy to proceed. There were a couple of hiccups with their suppliers before the install, but KMM did everything to ensure there were no delays, and there wasn't. The install crew were fantastic, professional and discussed everything they were doing. They started and finished on time with minimal disruption. So glad we went with KMM and would wholeheartedly reccomend them to friends and family. If only all work on your home could be completed so efficiently!

I joined the renewable energy sector because I’m passionate about helping customers save money while being more environmentally conscious. The rising costs from large energy companies motivated me to seek out sustainable alternatives that not only reduce energy bills but also contribute to a cleaner planet. I believe that by adopting renewable energy solutions, we can empower individuals and businesses to take control of their energy usage, reduce their carbon footprint, and avoid paying hefty sums to big corporations. It’s a win for both the wallet and the environment.

In the past 5 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping over 400 customers install solar and renewable energy systems. These systems have led to significant savings on energy bills, with many customers even paying off portions of their gas bills with the excess. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I’m making a real difference, helping people lower their costs while contributing to a greener future. It is a huge driving force for me in KMM Energy Solutions to continue to my knowledge on all aspects of solar so we can always have solutions to everyday problems.

Fun fact: Justin is South African (not Australian) and always wears thongs instead of shoes (or ‘slops’ as Saffas like to call them)

We met Keiron and Justin from KMM at the Devon county show. Keiron gave us the sales talk what KMM could do for us, as we were already on Octopus intelligence from owning an EV. We were so impressed with his knowledge and approach, that we booked an appointment there and then. Justin is a great guy, very knowledgable and he turned up very excitable and eager to advise how the panels and batteries would benefit us. We reviewed our options and without any hard selling decided to take the jump into solar. Justin carried out the survey instantly and arranged the scaffolding and engineers. Would totally recommend and the whole team have been great to deal with.

With over three years of experience as an independent solar surveyor, Jonathan Stauber has transformed the energy landscape for more than 260 customers across South Wales, Mid Wales, and Bristol. Yes, James is Ian’s son who has years of experience also in the solar industry and now works in one of the family businesses and heads up the surveying department. When our commercial clients get their own power plant, often they look to further cost-saving methods and LEDs can be between 2-10 times more efficient!
